Development Group


Development groups are by invitation only.


Sessions are held ONLY  at Northwood Gymnastics at St Helen's, Northwood and Northwood School Venue.


* All Development squad gymnasts are encouraged to attend a minimum of two sessions per week. (This can also be one development and one recreational class)


* All Development Gymnasts are expected to compete in the Northwood Gymnastics local clubs competitions.


* Development gymnasts are 4 -7 years old.


* Development gymnasts are expected to train over the long summer period. 3 summer training are included in Autumn fees. Gymnasts are welcome to train more.


* All hair must be tied back and all jewellery must be removed when training. in-line with British Gymnastics Jewellery Policy.


* Long nails, especially false are not permitted when training.


TERMLY REVIEW TO BE IN DEVELOPMENT : Please note that throughout the term our coaches are always assessing Gymnast's ability and attitude to training.  If at the end of a term your coach feels that the Development group is not appropriate for the Gymnast. The Gymnast will be invited to attend another more appropriate class to suit the Gymnasts needs.

Advance Group


Advanced group are groups by invitation only.


This group aims to build gymnasts' confidence and skills to potentially join the Northwood Gymnastics Competitive Squad, should you choose to do so.


* All Advance Gymnasts are invited to compete in the Northwood Gymnastics local clubs competitions.


* We prefer advanced female gymnasts to wear a leotard when training.


* Advance gymnasts are expected to train over the long summer period. 4 summer training are included in Autumn fees. Gymnasts are welcome to train more. * Advance Plus - 5 sessions are included.


* All Advance Gymnasts must wear the correct competition clothing when competing. See Below


* All hair must be tied back and all jewellery must be removed when training. in-line with British Gymnastics Jewellery Policy.


* Long nails, especially false are not permitted when training.


* Advanced group gymnast’s are invited to attend the Advanced Holiday Club at the St Helen’s Venue in order to train with the Squad and Developmental Group gymnasts.

Squad Group


Squad Groups are invitational only.


Sessions are held at both Northwood School and St Helen's Venue.


The squad group will all have the opportunity to compete against other local clubs In our Stars Open.

Squad Group Expectations


* All Squad Gymnasts must attend a minimum of two training sessions per week.


* Squad gymnasts must be at least 7 years old.


* Squad gymnasts are expected to train over the long summer period. 5 summer training are included in Autumn fees. Gymnasts are welcome to train more.


* All Squad Gymnasts are expected to compete in the Northwood Gymnastics local clubs competition


* All Squad FEMALE Gymnasts MUST wear a leotard when training. This does not have to be the competition leotard.  


* All Squad MALE Gymnasts MUST wear the black red SQUAD t-shirt when competing.


* All Squad Gymnasts must wear the correct competition clothing when competing

* All Squad gymnasts are expected to attend holiday training, especially over the long summer break.  6 days of summer holiday training will be included in your summer term fees.
